Mark Twain Park - The Mark Twain Park is a small, grassy area with trees located near the courthouse. The spring here is the one where Mark Twain's parents got their water while they lived in Jamestown. They had only been in MO three months when Mark Twain was born. The park is located near the Jamestown post office and is open year round to the public. |

Historic Rugby - Time stands still at Rugby, Tennessee - the restored Victorian village founded in 1880 by British author and social reformer, Thomas Hughes. It was to be a cooperative, class-free, agricultural community for younger sons of English gentry and others wishing to start life anew in America. At its peak, some 350 people lived in the colony. Historic Jamestown Courthouse - Burnt in 1905, much of the original Fentress County Courthouse and history was lost. The plans for the original courthouse was developed by Samual Clemens. The courthouse just received a new clock for the tower, something that had been planned 100 years prior. |
